I'm almost ready to offer my very rust free and mostly non-dented Vanagons
for sale as they are, rather than rebuild them from one end to the other,
then ask more for them.
I have the following quite nice project vanagons for sale :
one ...............83 Westy, 2.1 engine, 4 speed, many good things about it.
Currently running.
two.....................87 silver metallic Wolfsburg vanagon. Running.
Lots of deluxe goodies, fiberglass bumpers, jump seats, etc. etc. t
three.................rare 83 5-speed Sunroof diesel Vanagon - 'almost
running.'
Four .................a near showroom conditioin collectible grade 82
Sunroof Diesel Vanagon. Just needs ring and valve job finished. Super
nice DV, great condition
Five ..................84 .......'just an 84 Vanagon .............but it's
very clean inside, body very straight, and not a bit of rust anywhere. Not
running.
Very good candidate for swapping all your good stuff from your very rusty
but otherwise well-loved vanagon. Nice white on top, soft blue on the lower
part.
the plan is to rebuild and refurbish each these vans to the max, then ask
fair prices for them, fully sorted out and ready to go anywhere.
Taking me longer than I'd like, so 'maybe' I'd sell some of these as they
are. Located Southern Oregon.
hvae other vanagon donor bodies too .
if anyone is looking for a really rust free body/chassis to swap their good
stuff from their rusted out Vanagon - I have a very dent and rust free 85
body/chassis.
I also have a running 84 GL but it's sorta ratty on the outside, gonna use
it to build up the blue/white 84 to a really nice van. But this also is a
solid chassis with no rust.
