RE: Youth and VWs Marks comments reminds me of an incident at a WetWesties gathering a couple of years ago. Two young guys, about 18 or 20, showed up in their fully restored Splittie. I asked them if they could explain to me why young people would get into VW Buses that were made before they were born. Their answer was a complex mixture you can do your own work, parts are availalbe and cheap, the people involved in the local VW community (big here in the NW) and "it's fun". |
