Well, you make a good point but the core charge is just that - a core charge - only levied if you do not turn in a good core. Remember I said GOOD core. What they do with the cores is beyond me. As far as I am able to ascertain they ship them back to Germany. Those new engines come in a very spiffy wooden boxes and the core must be sent back to the dealer in that box. So........I "presume" the dealer is shipping them back to Germany. Otherwise their collecting them and turning them into the scrap metal dealer for $$$$$. I've never traced down that side of the story. Some of the cores I've dumped in those boxes for return were totally useless. They do want the core engine assembled, not a box full of loose pieces. I had one returned to me for this reason so I had to spend the time to bolt all the pieces back together. So......if they are not offering rebuilt engines WHAT ARE THEY DOING WITH THE CORES IN Germany ??????

ANYWAYS, a useless discussion as it seems there are no more of these NEW engines. Except maybe for the one I have in MY garage or some other enterprising shops have squirled away and are not telling the public about. BTW, I did already turn in a core for the one I have. I'm still open to offers from the highest bidder or maybe I save it as a museum piece !
