Hi If the seal is ONLY 3 years old it may need to be just squeezed and put back on. Grab on to the seal where it clamps on the lip of the top and squeeze it closed. There is a Metal grip edge embedded in the seal. squeeze it tight and push it back on the lip. Glue is Not needed unless the metal inside has rusted out or the seal is a 3rd world product. But if You must Glue use 3M weather strip adhesive. Get Black not Yellow. Most standard auto parts stores have it in a tube. Use it lightly Your only gluing the seal to the Van, not the Van to the seal. Follow the instructions on the tube. But Like I said of all the VW vans Ive purchased that the seal was coming off Ive only had one that had issues. Ive also gone to VW shows and show that little trick to the VW guys wanting to find and buy a new seal when all they need to do is give there old one a squeeze. C-ya Jonce
