My son and I recently spent a night in Quebec City camping at Camping Municipal de Beauport (see link below for details). It's just outside of town in a suburb but convenient to the city. It was a rainy night so I couldn't really tell much about it and we left early in the morning but it seemed nice and clean and they had good showers. They also provide a shuttle bus service to the city which is a nice feature. There are plenty of activities in the area and they have free bikes for campers to use. QC is celebrating its 400th anniversary so it's really festive. They also have a special bus route that's $2 for the whole day. You can park the van at the Beauport bus parking lot and off you go. The campground will give you directions and all information.

If you have any mechanical issues in Quebec City or just want to have the van checked out I found a wonderful mechanic (Rene Caux: 418-475-4329) just south of the city. I was having some overheating issues because of a leaky hose and Rene agreed to see me on a Saturday even though he was supposed to be closed. A real Vanagon guru and he does beautiful body work. I've listed his website below as well.

Quebec Province is really Westy heaven. I've never seen so many Westies in my life. We did a trip to the Gaspe Peninsula (highly recommended) and I stopped counting after about 30 sightings. In fact I got Rene's name from a Westy driver who I met at an overlook. Good luck and drop me a line if you need more info.
