Good to know the "whistle" may only be a glazing issue.

(or where you kindly providing an idea for the "*slight* grinding" ?)

I may pull them out to have a look too.

On a related note, the dealership here in North Vancouver (Capilano Volkswagen) said there was only 5 sets of pads left??

Hard to imagine.....
