It sounds like we are in the same boat - I'm 35 and my learning curve didn't
really start until about 27 or so when I got the first Vanagon and my first
home. My dad didn't teach me squat either and I have had many surrogates as
well - more than a few from this list.
Good on you for your plans with your daughter - I've been trying to do the
same with my boy.
