RE: AAA This is NOT a knock on AAA but keep a couple things in mind. First, AAA differs in their coverage from State to State. Each State has it's own organization and rates and coverage vary. For example, 100 vs 200 miles per trip under AAA Plus as several have mentioned here. Second, AAA WON"T come get you on something like a Forest Service Road, public roads only. And don't ask how I know. So if you roll your rig down a bank out in the boonies AAA won't pay. They will dispatch a tow to you but not on their dime. BTW, under such circumstances. especially if the vehicle is not drivable, your insurance company will probably cover it. My experience with AAA is limited (thankfully) but have been involved in one incident where a non member called, joined instantly, and had a tow truck there in about 20 minutes. |
