You have to be very careful getting the plastic frame out. Work from below and you'll see the two plastic "latches" that must be pressed in to release the frame. Once out, take a chisel and scrape out the old screen. Reinstall with a hot glue gun. I did this some years ago and was very happy, but when I do it again I will use animal proof screen because it doesn't rip as easily.
