Ok, I think Chris means a portable circular saw when he says "radial
arm saw" which is a table arm mounted saw that slides across the
piece to be cut.  The circular saw w/ a guide on the plywood set at
the depth of the plywood will cut the slots for the rail while the
floor is in place? The radial arm saw would require removing the
floor & placing it on the radial arm saw table & a pretty big radial
arm to make the cut in 1 shot?
