I have a leaky heater control valve, so I put in a secondary, 100% guaranteed shutoff valve inside the passenger compartment. I'm pretty sure that if there's zero water flow through that circuit, there will be no heat transfer, and thus no need for insulation. Insulation on those pipes could help retain heat for winter use (when

you want all the heat inside the van, though). Or am I wrong?
