I've always had great luck with AAA. I'm surprised that they still let me be a member, I'm sure they lose money on me each year.

I tell all new Vanagon buyers I meet to make sure and get AAA Plus so you have the free 100 mile tow, up to 4 times a year. Well worth it IMHO.

In some states AAA has AAA Premium with 200 mile free tow. Probably worth getting AAA Premium if you travel more than 200 miles from home. Some clubs don't even list AAA Premium on their web site as an offering so you should call to see if they have it.
