As Mike said, the only way to keep air from getting in between the plies and separating them is with an internal patch, so that's what tire stores around here do.

Unless you've driven your new Yokie over a piece of shingle dropped by some sloppy @*^&ing roofers and the 4 holes thereby created make the guy at the tire store decline even a patch....
