Chris, I think you mean a circular saw, there's the source of the
confusion. A radial arm saw is a big floor-standing device where you
put the wood on a table and move the saw, which is guided by a sturdy
overhead arm. A typical homeowner model will make an 18 inch cut, an
industrial model will make a 25 cut.

Surely you mean a circular saw, designed to be hand held and usually
hand-guided, they weigh about 10 pounds. They are not affixed to any
kind of table, generally.
