Anecdotal but true - '87 purchased new (now w /115k) & properly broken in - Mobil 1 & Fram filter used exclusively every 10k or once a year minimum - no problems whatsoever; never a drip & will still peg the needle on 375 east of Tonopah.

I agree - the proof is in the pudding. I'm surprised that you have gotten good results with the Fram filters as they have been slammed in the past. Perhaps that is not true with the tough guard filters.
