So  i come here, week 4, a lot of meesages... way too many, i scroll down
and stop on this one, why! It show over 91 replies! I say ho, that must be
interesting.... is it?

Funny, here, at least half of the messages have no reply??? pretty sad,
why??? If you compare to The Samba, maybe and i say maybe only one message
per page as no answer.

Funny, i have took 10 minutes to write that but i will never know if someone
reply if i don't come back. In a well built forum, i can choose the have
e-mail sent to be on any thread i like to follow, and that is super nice!!!

To be honest, i have slowly moved to The Samba, not that i don't come here
at least once per week. I said, come here! Since i join in... (i don't
remember when), i never use that list as a mailing list, i always used the
web-interface. I hate e-mail and i'm buried each day with them anyway. So
that mean i'm a lurker.

But lurking after the first or second day of each week is simply horrible.
To many different messages to look at. But that is my choice, to be able to
read what i choose to read. Don't tell me to go digest, plain text multi
e-mail is also horrible in a mail-box.

In general, forum are not always better, after the few first pages,
everything is kind of lost anyway.

Anywhere anyway, people ask the same questions over and over... almost a joke!

But at least, some forum are very well divided, so you can look at the
section that interest you, and not at all those those stupid question and
comments that we have to read here alamost each days.

But, the moderator is right, some have slow speed internet and forum are
slow for them.

So here is my suggestion, just do a: http://gerry.vanagon.com/forum_test

Let see for fun if it make sense.
