Don't forget about our Ezy-Awning. It's only $119, packs away like a chair-in-a-bag, and goes up in about 5 minutes. No need to drill or modify your Vanagon. It's light duty but surprisingly durable. I've been using mine for six years now and it's still going strong; not bad for $119. With our optional jackpoint/wheel adapter it can also be used freestanding without staking it down. Anyone who attends Kampers Near Knoebels this weekend here in PA can see mine in use. (Hope to see some of you there!) You will also find many positive user comments both in the Vanagon List and the Samba. See details and pics at: http://busdepot.com/details/awning.jsp . Another alternative, although not technically an awning (more of a lean-to), is the Kelty Carport. I have their Deluxe Medium on special-purchase at $129 (original retail is $330). Can't say I'd pay $330 for it, but at $129 I'm keeping one for myself.
