Wes, The issue will to which code to use. It sounds like someone had replaced your door or ignition key at some time. The door codes are easier to find but them you will need to rekey your ignition to match. Taking that lock cylinder out is more work as there is some drilling required. As Todd mentioned, any locksmith or VW dealer can do this for you. My local locksmith insist on a valid driver's license and a pink slip (title) with a matching name before cutting a key from code.
