Yes, I can tell you how it's done. I did it this morning. I took a
13mm socket on a 3" extension and put enough rag in the socket that
the nut was flush with the socket's edge at the opening. Then I
smeared the front of the nut with vaseline and stuck the wasther to
it. I felt for the end of the stud with my fingers and pushed the
tight rubber hose out of the way slightly to let the socket/nut/washer
assembly through. I engaged the stud with the socket on the first try,
slipped the stubby ratchet into the extension and drove it home.
