I don't know what brand I was looking at, but I was looking at a bottle of some brand of head gasket in a bottle or coolant system leak, and I noticed that it said not to add it to coolant. They wanted you to totally drain the system, as it said that the stuff was totally incompatable with any coolant. You had to put in the radiator (or coolant bottle, I guess, as in the case of Vanagons) and add straight water to mix it around. I don't know what brand it was, but whatever you use, just make sure you follow the directions.
