Heck yes this is important info on the age of tires!
My wife, some years back, went to Sears to buy tires for her Honda. The
tires never were right, didn't seem to balance or stay balanced, hard time
to get the allignment right as well.
No proof but I wonder if they were just old tires.
In the mean time, we replaced all 4 tires and the car if working perfectly
again.
Makes me wonder.
