Just wrapped up replacing one head and gasket on the other. Car has been sitting awhile, occupied by mice. When I first stuck in key everything seemed to lite up and buzzed, then blinked out. No leds, buzzer or gauges, but the radio and emergency flasher work, interior lights. Turn on lights, get parking lights only. I suspect the ignition switch (I had to replace the starter function of switch with a starter button a couple of years ago). What's the best way to hotwire the Westy (86 2.1L with A/C, manual 4 sp) so I can at least check my work on the engine. The starter button WILL turn the engine over. How can I troubleshoot this problem? |
