Subject: Re: Problem with cental locking system
Comments: To: Anthony Egeln <regnsuzanne@YAHOO.COM>

In my experience this is due to a broken wire in the door wiring harness. What is happening is that the system is not getting the signal of the status of a lock. When this happens, and you unlock a door, the system will keep trying to lock it - which it can't do while the door is open - so they just keep cycling.

The way to figure out which lock is the problem is to look behind the fusebox for the connectors for the central locking system, and dissconned one door at a time. When the locks work correctly, the disconnected lock is the one with a broken wire. You can then check the continuity of the wires from the disconnected connector and the door lock mechinism.
