Hakka's and alloy wheels? Seems like you'll be spending some extra time taking care of the rims if you really 'use' those winter tires in winter conditions. Salt, road grime, icy potholes all make for tough duty for alloy rims. I always wonder when I see big 4X4 fancy trucks with aluminum or magnesium rims..I guess the owners never actually go off the smooth pavement where those rims get bent quite easily. And on a wheel with a 4' tall tire, you aren't getting more performance by reducing the weight of the rim, are you? Style, though, is important.. Steel rims make more sense for trucks..Steel painted rims wash off pretty easily, too. Don Hanson |
