Hello everyone,

I just signed up again on the list and wow can't believe all the talk already. We will be updating our website continuously for a while to get all the details in. We decided to start doing conversions after straightening out several that were done at other popular CA repair shops. I can't believe $10k for a used Subaru install that has leaking valve covers and it will barely start. So we hope to provide cost effective quality installations that can fit a customers budget. However I will draw the line if they can't afford what I deem a quality installation. Since I am an ASE Master technician with over 30 years of VW experience, we are a "Full Service" shop. That means we can service your AC or do light fabrication and not sublet that work out. Although I have rebuilt transmissions while working at VW of Santa Cruz decades ago I don't do it for customers. You have to specialize in transmission rebuilding for it to be profitable. For transmission rebuilding we use AA Transaxle.

For the engine conversions we are hoping to get some out of state Vanagons to work on as well. As for the CA residents that will have to be worked out on a case by case basis. I know Bostig has been shooting for an EO number but I don't think that will every happen. However if all the t's are crossed and the I's dotted I don't see why a Zetec can't get through a referee.

Initially we will be doing Subaru and Zetec conversions. We will be using the Small Car and Bostig kits. We will also offer maintenance and rebuilding of engines before installation. I have rebuilt so many engines over the past 30 years I have lost count of how many I have done. From air cooled VW to 930 Turbo Porsche to a variety of German water cooled engines. We will also maintain your stock WBX or install the larger versions from GoWesty.

We are also offering a custom vehicle build program from stock restoration to SyncroMog clones. Dream up what you would like and we can build it.

I will be doing all of the mechanical work personally. Not many places can say an ASE Master technician with over 30 years of VW experience will be performing the work on your Syncro or Vanagon. We service all VW's air and water cooled. With our $75 per hour labor rate we can be very competitive on projects large and small.

Thanks for reading,
