Ed:

Do you have a Bentley? Look at camper wiring there. Pages 97.33b & c, for example.

What year is your fridge? If it is '82 onward, then the fridge should have three wires (two red and a black) coming from a 3-prong connector and a single wire (black) from a single prong connector.

The single black wire goes to the control panel to light the fridge LED.

The black wire in the 3-prong is a ground. The two red wires are hot 12V. The larger wire runs the fridge heater while the smaller runs the fan on the back of the fridge. They are separate and different sizes because they are fused differently (8A vs 16A).
