I always say, get the real Bosch rebuild. Any rebuilder can have a bad one but the Bosch rebuilds, rebuilt by Bosch and in a Bosch box are the best bet IMHO. AL33X is the most universal replacement for watercooled VWs. I get mine at Van-Cafe, a Vanagon community supporter.
