dear cruising jim

have you done any diagnostics on the cruise parts such as the switch at your brake peddle which tells the cruise to shut off when brake is activated such as (if standard transmission) the switch at your clutch telling cruise to shut off when engaged such as the chain to the carburetor or what ever transfers fuel into your engine some times that lets go or is released by others who did not understand how to fix maybe you had your van serviced recently and the mechanic disconnected it to perform some sort of unusual diagnostic check then forgot to hook up have you checked fuses - electrical connections to the solenoid which controls throttle the solenoid it self what about the sensor on the speedo cable which "listens" for speed anyway that is a good place to start is there power to your switch handle are the wires in the steering column connected good luck yours
