I was kidding about the colour choice, but thanks for the pointers. --- :^)

I've decided to laminate some Arborite onto the surface. Sometimes I take my trombone camping (sad yes I know) and I put stuff up there when it's bed time, so I need a surface that won't get beat up with cases etc. sliding along the surface.
