We've used them for years - originally the round cylinder 5 gallon blue ones in the 80s, where
we had about 4-5 of them for drinking water for our cabin on an Island. (the well ran nearly
dry in summer). We transported them in a 14' aluminum boat & wheelbarrow in all sorts of
conditions and they held up well. We now use a newer squared off style one for Westy
camping, where it sits on the picnic table for washing hands, cooking water when outside,
etc. For the price, they work well and hold up well. Last I checked, some of the original ones
from around 1985 were still at the cabin and functional...
