I'm soooo close to putting my DJ-code Hersheymobile on the road, but I do have this burning question. Where do I stick this? http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b7/misterpolak/WBX_transplant/Example_Pics/Emissions1.jpg Background: In the early 80s VW utilized a secondary emissions ECU, usually made by a company named "HJS". This HJS ECU had its own wiring harness, its own sensors to include the famous Lambda, or oxygen sensor. This HJS ECU talked to the main engine ECU. My engine is a European DJ-code 112hp derivative of the WBX and it is equipped with this HJS ECU. The enigma, or "enema" in the above picture is that there's a "Kanuter Valve", a valve of unknown function to me, that is plugged into a T from the vacuum line just below the idle control valve. This Kanuter Valve is plugged into the HJS ECU. I have no idea where the enema might go as all the vacuum ports are taken. Here are other pictures: http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b7/misterpolak/WBX_transplant/Example_Pics/Emissions2.jpg http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b7/misterpolak/WBX_transplant/Example_Pics/Emssions3.jpg My thinking is that if you're still reading this you might have an idea of how the old VW emissions was configured.
