Yes a common problem. Just get a new one. Dennis -----Original Message----- From: Vanagon Mailing List [mailto:vanagon@gerry.vanagon.com] On Behalf Of Chris S Sent: Saturday, September 13, 2008 1:16 PM To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Subject: Coolant distributor leak - common? Fixable? I was very excited with hopes that my '85 Hersheymobile with a 2.1 transplant would be running this weekend, but it is not to be. I transferred the entire Syncro cooling set up, and I have leak at the coolant distributor that's at the fire wall. Specifically, the large, flat cap on the side of the distributor is weeping at the seam and this is without any pressure in the system. Do I dare attempt a fix? If not buy a good used one or bite the bullet and get a new one? -- Chris S. Disclaimer: "Death and serious injury may occur" |
