Hi Jack,
Yes, warm and dry is very appealing. Unfortunately it is raining here too and we are headed for Denali National Park tonight. We have a lottery pass that lets us drive our own vehicle into the Park on Saturday.
People put scuba gear away for the season?? Must be nice, we do not have a scuba and non-scuba season, the water is always cold! A hot summer day may give us about `55F surface temp. and winter diving it drops to around `36F. Too bad about the camera, I would like to try underwater photography but have a hard time justifying the expense for the gear.
I will bet the Schnauzer does not smell too good in the rain either!
Then again neither will the van after a chili dinner.
Keep on camping and don't let the weather stop you.
Mark in AK
