It appears he is painting the aluminum case halves. How do you suppose he can get the paint to remain on? What kind of surfae prep? Primer? And, how would that be done PROPERLY? Easy. Clean the parst with a good degreaser, then use an etching paint. I have cleaned oily motorcycle engines and painted them with satin-black Brolite Satin Etch (no longer available, as far as I can tell) and VHT Case Paint. Neither paint came off again; they are tough enough to resist wear too. VERY effective. |
