This happened to my van last year, and at the sugestion of a co-worker, I disconnected the O2 sensor, and the problem went away. Without cheching anything else, I ordered one from Vanagain (thank you, sir), problem solved. I believe you can check the voltage variations of the sensor with a multimeter, but I'm not sure. After that, the ECU failed, second time in ten years I've had the van; sent the old one, the one that failed and another one I bought used to have them repaired locally, no good. I believe I have the sixth one, and that's the one working. But that's my Ursula, the b..ch, that's why I don't carry a gas container and matches... Good luck to you. Héctor 1990 Carat 'Ursula'
