I don't know if it will run backwards, but mine did have a + and a - molded into the plastic near the terminals.  I had tagged the wires upper and lower but did not know which was the +  or - terminal.  I could recall the mounting orientation by the dirt/undercoating/clamp marks from the mounting bracket on the pump body and it worked fine when reinstalled.   Stephen

Since I upgraded my engine and harness to 2.1 I also installed a 2-wire fuel pump power/ground hook up.

The question... which is which plug at the fuel pump? I don't recall seeing any + or - signs on the fuel pump body. Does the fuel pump run backwards if you get them backwards?

I have the battery in and now am cranking my newly installed engine, so I want to make sure I'm pumping fuel in the right direction.
