Those protective pieces that go below the pushrod tubes are the same for 1.9 and 2.1 engines. In that they're just there to protect the pushrod tubes, they can be made from anything.

It might not be a bad idea to make a hole just below the Allen bolt that drains the head. That way the protective tin wouldn't have to be removed to drain all coolant.
