Yes, Jack. When I replaced the alternator, the flickering problem went away immediately

I do take good care of the connections, and it's a clean southeastern car... no rust, no obvious corrosion. I took a lot of care while then engine was out recently (and while the dash was out when I did the air flaps earlier this year) to go through all the connections I could find.
