My understanding of the function of the charcoal filter is... When gas is
heated it expands, and in order not to let the toxic gases into the air, the
charcoal filter captures and treats the escaping gas.  Likewise, when the
gas tank is cooled it allows clean, dust free air into the tank... thus
regulating the pressure inside.

So what dose the charcoal filter do? Dose it let air in the fuel system? I
know where the charcoal filter is but not sure how the fuel flows, or the
path of the fuel.
