in that case Gerry........ you might be interested in this new, never used, custom made, and very decent quality 'rear shifting rod' ..........the rod , about 4 and half feet long, that goes from the connection near the rear edge of the fuel tank in an 2WD vanagon........ specifically made for putting a DK trans into a later body vanagon. the shift linkages are different between the two types.........and this adapts your 2.1 waterboxer shift linkage to work with this early type trans. Scott www.turbovans.com I've heard they are stronger too....... one could resource to ask would be Daryl at AA Transaxle in the Seattle area. He might be on this group.
