the 4spd manual trannys from aircooled vanagons give better gearing to the diesel vanagons..and they rarely suffer the 3/4 clider hub problems like the waterboxer trannys do. i have a good aircooled 4spd manual tranny from a aircooled vanagon if anyone needs it..
