Not sure what you mean, as I haven't used DOT headlights in forever....
The Euro headlights >DO< have a VERY sharp cutoff on the light
distribution. For some folks that can be disturbing. You'll be able to
see in front of your vehicle , but there will be a spot at which the
light doesn't shine (unless your high beams are on.)
