The only drivers in this area that I have a real attitude problem with are those that think they own the #1 lane because THEY are in it. It is Utah law that if you have 3 cars behind you and you're in the #1 lane and not passing anyone to your right in #2, you get out of the way or get ticketed. And, of course, there is never a HP around when you need one. ;) bob > > I don't think this attitude is any worse than the "get the hell outta my way, > I'm in a hurry" attitude, which is far more common (here in the Washington DC > area). I commute 120 miles a day round trip, a lot of it on 4 lane highway where > the traffic is very heavy, even when it's moving close to the speed limit. If > I'm in the left lane, nearly every morning some a**hole flashes his/her high > beams for me to move over, never mind that 2 car lengths ahead of me is another > car (and don't tell me I'm tailgating, you CANNOT leave the proper amount of > room between cars in this area). So, if I did move over, two seconds later this > jerk is going to be behind another car going the same speed. What do these > people think, that they are Moses and traffic should part for them to get > through? Hell, we're ALL in a hurry. Just an observation, but most of these > folks seem to drive BMWs, Volvo's, and now Priuses. Jeff |
