Ever since the diesel was reformulated it eats and swells the rubber hoses on older diesel motors. Too much benzene I believe. I have an 85 MB and have been changing out the fuel lines every year or so for the past two years. I plan on switching them all over to viton hoses. It is the only hose that I know that will hold up. You can purchase it from one of the WVO conversion sites. Brion S. S. Utah
