well dare we say the forecast will be warm and pleasant days with clear
skies and chilly nights. 
the Full Moon is just over with a very well lit moon for night walks on
the beach..

Any & ALL VWCCNY are invited to come out for the day on Saturday (park
fee ~$7)
to enjoy the 25+ VWs (Splits, Bays, Vanagons & tents) camped amongst the
sand dunes and dune grass. 
Bring a picnic lunch or there is a food service cantina, a few miles of
sandy beach to walk on, 
some may even canoe/kayak on the nearby Dune sheltered ponds, fly a kite
with the lake winds 
or just enjoy a day of VW camaraderie.  you DON'T need a VW to come out,
though it is preferred ;-)

Sackets's Harbor a few more miles north is a national historic site and
pivotal in the war of 1812

DOGS are welcome at Southwick, BUT you need to BRING their Rabies TAGS &
PAPERS. 
with Southwick bordering a nature preserve ( I think it's an Audubon
society bird sanctuary) 
they are STRICT on their enforcement of DOG TAGS & PAPERS. 
 
(I just don't want anybody to have any trouble or surprises when they
get there.) 
 
Crew Stevens is planning on heading out early Friday morning. leaving my
house @ 9am 
stopping for Breakfast at the truck stop diner near the intersection of
I-81 & Rt 104 about 9:30-10:30
if anyone else is traveling about that time, stop in for eats or coffee
and caravan to Southwick S.P.
 
With clear chilly nights.. firewood will be in demand.
