I thought I mentioned earlier that this was a water cooled 2.1. Sorry. The upper bracket is cracked at the lower bolt. I removed that. Looking into mine a little further. The lower bracket has been re-welded and sloppy I might add. that and it is only connected by one stripped bolt. It seems that this is the major problem because the alignment is off and the alternator sits at an angle and off center. It didnt throw the belt and was working fine on the trip across the state after I bought the van and I never checked it until the water pump install. I guess this is going to be another project that I hadnt planned on. :() I checked the pulley and even filed it smooth before I put it back on, still had the marks from the old pump on it so that was easy but I did check alignment before installing the belt. I plan on spending some time at the wrecking yard to see if I can find something that has "more meat" and a better mount so I wont have to go through this again. How much for the tube and stick shipped to 33523?

Thanks,

A J
