I do remember running across the modification on somebodies website.  I think the site might have been put together by list member David Baerl, or something like that.  I did a quick google search and couldn't find it, but maybe somebody else will chime in.  Sounds like a super cool mod to me, but I bet it would be pretty easy to screw up.
