It's a bit harder to find 9.5 Belts these days. Continental, Gates, Dayco, Goodyear among others all standardized their production 9.5 belts to 10mm over 15 years ago. Exception is that the 9.5x905 Generator Belt for the upright 1600 engine is still being produced that way by Continental, but in 10mm by everyone else. Even the local VW dealer here in Ventura can only get the 10mm variety from their Depot.

I agree with Mike Collum that another issue (usually, but not always alignment). Scott Dempster is having a similar problem on his 90 Multivan that we haven't been able to totally solve in this regard here at Airhead/VWG. -- Jim Thompson 84 GL 1.9 "Gloria" 84 Westfalia 2.1 "Ole Putt" 72 411 Station Wagon "Pug" oldvolkshome@gmail.com http://www.oldvolkshome.com jim@airheadparts.com *********************************** On Tue, Sep 16, 2008 at 3:55 PM, Scott Daniel - Turbovans < scottdaniel@turbovans.com> wrote:
