I need a handheld GPS for just one thing... reading latitude/longitude and the WORLD grid to 2-3 decimal places. Does anyone have a suggestion? I have never used a GPS, though it amazes me how many redneck pickups in Calgary have them dangling from the windshield (as many as radar detectors do in New Zealand, it seems). Also I guess I wouldn't mind an incar GPS as well, for the odd time I visit other cities. Anyone have a good suggestion as to a reliable unit with voice which tells you the street name, not just where to turn? I would be looking at a used one at well under $200 (and I see them offered). garmin seems to be a name brand; I have seen a new incar one which LOOKS and sounds good, but whoever heard of an electronics brand called "Pierre Cardin"? I thought PC made cardigans and mobwear. -- Andrew Grebneff Dunedin, New Zealand Fossil preparator Mollusc, Toyota & VW van nut Temporarily in Calgary, AB, Canada <goose1047@gmail.com> |
