The tent being vertical, you will have no leak ever even if its not a water proof material. All canvas get wet, swell and seal. I would like to put some water repelant on my poptop canvas. The canvas was there when I bought the van, and in almost new condition, but I don't know which type it is. Is is a three-window, pretty thin material.

I'd like to know if anyone has used any water repelant on their canvas that brushes on. Maybe that would be too heavy, but I thought it would save me the hassle of being extra careful not to get overspray where I didn't want it.
